Our trip to the Central Museum of Textiles

A bit of history...

The great developement of Lodz took place in the second half of the19th century. There were built several hundred manufactories and mechanized plants. Most of them were made of red brick and this is why Lodz was called "the Polish Manchester".
We've visited the White Factory, the first mechanized factory in Lodz - currently the seat of Central Museum of Textiles.

We take part in weaving workshop.

The biginning is difficult...

Nowadays there is an exhibition of international modern fabric made by the most known artists from all over the world.
